How it began


Piotr Niedziela started his career in 2009 on the performance team at Agora. After the organization changed, he moved on to AdTaily Group (Yieldbird’s former name) in 2012. It’s been 10 years since he started his career with us.

“I cannot imagine working anywhere else but Yieldbird.“

As he displayed great responsibility in these areas, he began managing the team as Head of Yield Optimization. He learned many things by himself, like mindfulness, and it’s important to him to have a team that feels they can express their needs, it helps him react in a sensible way.

Piotr’s duties required dealing with continuous process control, generating a large number of reports, keeping up with deadlines, and keeping his knowledge updated.

For Piotr, one of the most important principles is the principle of freedom.

“I think that if somebody does something right, you should let him or her do it and not interrupt it. If that person indicates there are some problems, then you should give advice.”

The recipe for an effective team


Piotrek believes that the key to an effective team is personal satisfaction from the work.

He gets the most joy from creating new things that keep workflow efficient and from insights that are simple, yet contain what’s most important. As a manager, he describes his team as a “constant inspiration” and watching them grow their skills is very satisfying for him. He believes that a good manager should never stop challenging himself.

Piotrek describes his team as a diverse, where everyone has their own say.

“Each member has their own perspective on certain aspects of work and daily issues.”

He considers Yieldbird a place where there are plenty of experts from various sides of the programmatic industry.


Plan for the future


In the future for Piotr, the key is to focus on product adaptation in constantly developing Yieldbird, and also focusing on a team level to create a positive mood and structure where everyone can help each other.
