How did Adwords change bidding at the end of 2023? (performance analysis)
What is AdWords? Google AdWords, now known as Google Ads, is an online advertising platform by Google. It allows businesses…
Now it’s time for someone from inside the data-science team. The success story of Łukasz Bieńkowski, who has been with Yieldbird for two years!
Łukasz started his journey with Yieldbird in the back office. His main task was to rebuild and optimize the company’s revenue reporting. After his own research on how to find the best way to report, he decided to learn the programming language “R”. That moment was disruptive for Łukasz’s career. It was his first journey into programming.
For me, programming is solving problems and searching for more optimal operating schemes. There is very little repetition in this – every day may bring new problems.
When Łukasz was close to finishing his project for the back office, our Head of Data Science noticed that he was interested in programming and already had some skills in this area. He decided to invite Łukasz to join his team.
On the data-science team, Łukasz develops machine-learning solutions for publishers. For him, working on projects like this is like a never-ending story. He is always focused on clients’ feedback to constantly improve Yieldbird’s products.
You can always do something better, add some functionality.

I know that my job is not strictly related to the place, that I can program from anywhere.
What Łukasz always wanted to try, was working remotely in a different part of the world. Łukasz previously chose to work remotely from Bali. Why did he decide on this part of the world? The island has a very convenient time zone compared to Poland and has a lot to offer. In the mornings, he had time for himself. He could surf, explore the island, and after that, when it was dinner time in Bali, the workday in Warsaw began.
Łukasz noticed that physical activity in the mornings and joining a coworking space among other foreigners made him even more productive. Bali is a place where you can meet people from around the world, and you can take part in workshops that range from Chinese medicine to programming.
When I started working at Yieldbird, I had very little knowledge about programming. Every skill that I used to create a Yieldbird tool I acquired after becoming part of Yieldbird.
Apart from challenges that Łukasz needs to face on a daily basis, he also wants to focus on self-development
To explore the potential benefits that data-science solutions can offer for publishers, due to their quantity and diversity. There will always be new, interesting, and useful projects and products for publishers to invent.
