McDonald’s Launches New Caesar Sauce Nationwide: Here’s When It Arrives and What’s on the Menu

McDonalds new Caesar sauce will arrive at participating restaurants across the United States on July 21 as part of a limited-time summer menu that brings the classic flavor to a Bacon Caesar McCrispy, a Caesar Snack Wrap and the chain’s recently updated McCrispy Strips.

The fast-food company is reviving a flavor that disappeared from much of its menu after McDonald’s discontinued salads in 2020. Although its traditional Chicken Caesar Salad is not returning, customers will be able to order the new creamy sauce with several popular chicken products.

McDonald’s described the condiment as a creamy mixture featuring rich Parmesan cheese, zesty lemon and bold garlic flavors. It can be served on selected menu items or ordered separately as a dipping sauce.

The launch reflects the growing influence of food trends on fast-food menus. Caesar-flavored wraps, sandwiches and snacks have become increasingly visible at restaurants and on social media, prompting major chains to reinterpret the familiar salad dressing in more portable formats.

What is in McDonalds new Caesar sauce?

The new Caesar sauce combines Parmesan, lemon and garlic to deliver the savory, slightly tangy flavor traditionally associated with Caesar salad dressing.

However, McDonald’s is moving the flavor beyond salads. The company will use it in a crispy chicken sandwich and a snack-sized wrap, while also offering it as a dipping option for McCrispy Strips.

Customers who do not want to purchase one of the new products will be able to order the sauce à la carte and pair it with other eligible menu items.

The condiment and the three Caesar-inspired products will be available only for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. The company has not announced a final date for the promotion.

What comes on the Bacon Caesar McCrispy?

The Bacon Caesar McCrispy will feature a crispy McCrispy chicken filet covered with the new Caesar sauce.

The sandwich will also include applewood-smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, Roma tomato, crispy onions and crinkle-cut pickles. All the ingredients will be served on a toasted potato roll.

With the new sandwich, McDonald’s is combining two familiar fast-food categories: the crispy chicken sandwich and the Chicken Caesar Salad. The addition of bacon, onions and pickles gives the product a more substantial flavor profile than a traditional Caesar wrap or salad.

The launch also gives McDonald’s another limited-time variation of the McCrispy, one of the chain’s central products in the competitive chicken sandwich category.

McDonald’s Caesar Snack Wrap will cost $2.99

McDonald’s will also introduce a Caesar Snack Wrap nationwide with a suggested price of $2.99.

The product includes one McCrispy Strip topped with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce and the new Caesar sauce, all rolled inside a flour tortilla.

The item adapts the popular Chicken Caesar Wrap into a smaller, drive-thru-friendly format. Caesar wraps are already offered by several restaurant chains, but the McDonald’s version makes the combination more widely accessible through the company’s nationwide network.

Actual prices may vary by restaurant because McDonald’s locations are generally operated by franchisees that determine their own pricing.

The Caesar Snack Wrap will join other variations of the format as McDonald’s continues using smaller, portable menu items to attract customers looking for a snack or a more affordable meal.

McCrispy Strips receive another limited-time dipping sauce

The third option will pair McDonald’s McCrispy Strips with the new Caesar sauce.

McDonald’s recently updated the chicken strips with a crispier panko-style breading. The Caesar condiment will now join the dipping sauce selection for a limited time, giving customers another way to try the flavor without ordering the sandwich or wrap.

Offering the sauce separately could also help McDonald’s reach customers who want to customize their usual orders. Limited-edition sauces have become an important promotional tool for fast-food chains because they can generate interest without requiring the development of an entirely new core product.
